Configure the Forgot Password Link

When using Active Directory authentication, you can configure an "I forgot my password" link on the sign in page.

  1. From the Main Menu, search and select System Parameters. The System Parameters page opens.
  2. Locate the v20 (Application) and 115 (Code) parameter. If the parameter does not exist, follow the below steps:
    • Click Add.
    • Enter the necessary information:
      • Application - v20
      • Code - 115
      • Parameter Description - Forgot Password Link
    • Click OK and proceed to the next step.
  3. Enter 1 into the Amount field.
  4. Enter https://services.ungerboeck.com/usm_p8_ForgotPassword.aspx into the Alphanumeric Value field.
  5. Click OK.

When using Momentus authentication and if you are in the Momentus Cloud, you can configure an "I forgot my password" link on the sign in page.

  1. From the Main Menu, search and select System Parameters. The System Parameters page opens.
  2. Locate the v20 (Application) and 115 (Code) parameter. If the parameter does not exist, follow the below steps:
    • Click Add.
    • Enter the necessary information:
      • Application - v20
      • Code - 115
      • Parameter Description - Forgot Password Link
    • Click OK and proceed to the next step.
  3. Enter 1 into the Amount field.
  4. Leave the Alphanumeric Value field blank.
  5. Click OK.

    Any way we can change the "I forgot my password" description to "Reset my password"? 

    I still get people asking me to reset their password, not realizing the link does the same thing.

    I am not able to see System Parameters link from the main menu.I can see only 2 options(please see below):

    Where can I get to see default forgot password configuration for registrations?

    Hi Shilpa,

    One of the possible reason, you aren't able to see is because of the access/role you are in and that (System Parameters v19) may be restricted. Once you get the access, you should be able to configure it as below:
