Exhibitor statuses indicate where an exhibitor is in the overall sales process. There are two levels to exhibitor statuses: exhibitor status class and the exhibitor status. You must assign every exhibitor status to an exhibitor status class.
The exhibitor status class is maintained by Momentus Enterprise and allows you to group together exhibitor statuses. An example of exhibitor statuses with exhibitor status classes:
- Active (Class)
- Potential (Exhibitor Status)
- Proposal Accepted (Exhibitor Status)
- Hold (Class)
- Proposal Sent (Exhibitor Status)
- Hold (Exhibitor Status)
- Closed (Class)
- Closed (Exhibitor Status)
- Cancelled (Class)
- Cancelled (Exhibitor Status)
Add a Status
- Click the Exhibitor Status link from the Main Menu. The Exhibitor Status screen opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Exhibitor Status screen opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Status Description - Name of the exhibitor status.
- Class - Class assigned to the exhibitor status.
- Weight - Determines the order the exhibitor status displays in the Exhibitor Status drop-down. Drop-downs display the status in ascending order by weight.
- Update Booth Order Status to - When the status for an exhibitor is set to this status, the booth status updates to the status selected in the drop-down.
- Update Win Probability To - When the status for an exhibitor is set to this status, the win probability updates to the value selected in the drop-down.
- Background Color - Background color when the status displays in drop-downs and screens throughout the software.
- Font Color - Text color when the status displays in drop-downs and screens throughout the software.
- Click OK.
Change a Status
You can change all information for an exhibitor status except the Class. When you change the description, text color or background color of an exhibitor status, it updates wherever the exhibitor status is used. If you don't want to update the already existing status data, then you must add a new status using the steps in Add a Status.
- Click the Exhibitor Status link from the Main Menu. The Exhibitor Status screen opens.
- Select the status to edit.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Exhibitor Status screen opens.
- Make the desired change.
- Click OK.
Inactivate a Status
If you no longer use an exhibitor status but want to keep record of it for reporting or other purposes, you can make it inactive. When you make an exhibitor status inactive, it is no longer available for selection in the Exhibitor Status drop-down.
- Click the Exhibitor Status link from the Main Menu. The Exhibitor Status screen opens.
- Select the status to make inactive.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Exhibitor Status screen opens.
- Check the Retired check box.
- Click OK.
Delete a Status
If you no longer use a status and don't want to keep a record of it, you can delete it. You can only delete statuses that are not used. You cannot undo the delete process.
- Click the Exhibitor Status link from the Main Menu. The Exhibitor Status screen opens.
- Right-click on the status to delete.
- Select Mark for Delete.
- Click the Save button.
