Momentus Enterprise uses the following hierarchy for exhibitor products and services:
- Category - Highest level of categorization for products and services. Within product categories, you can create product groups. Product groups are sub-categories for products and services.
- Product - The individual product or service. Within products you can assign:
Add a Product or Service
- Click the Product and Services link from the Main Menu. The Product and Services screen opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Product/Service screen opens.
- Enter the following information:
- Description - Name of the product category.
- Code - Unique alphanumeric value.
- Category - Product category assigned to the product/service.
- Group - Product group assigned to the product/service.
- Type - Product type assigned to the product/service.
- Brands - Product brand(s) assigned to the product/service.
- Expand the Additional Information section.
- Check the check box(es) for the area(s) within Enterprise that the product/service is available.
- Click OK.
Change a Product or Service
You can change the information for the product/service after you have created it. When you change the information for a product/service, it updates wherever the product/service is used. If you make a product/service unavailable in an area of Enterprise (for example, uncheck the Registration check box), the product/service is not removed where it is already assigned. However, it is no longer available for selection when adding products and services to events, accounts, etc. in that area. If you don't want to update the already existing product/service data, then you must add a new product/service using the steps in Add a Product or Service.
- Click the Product and Services link from the Main Menu. The Product and Services screen opens.
- Select the product/service to edit.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Product/Service screen opens.
- Update the necessary information.
- Click OK.
Inactivate a Product or Service
If you no longer use a product/service but want to keep record of it for reporting or other purposes, you can make it inactive. When you make a product/service inactive, you can no longer assign it to events, accounts, etc.
- Click the Product and Services link from the Main Menu. The Product and Services screen opens.
- Select the product/service to make inactive.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Product/Service screen opens.
- Check the Retire check box.
- Click OK.
Delete a Product or Service
If you no longer use a product/service and don't want to keep a record of it, you can delete it. You cannot delete products/services assigned to events, accounts, etc. You cannot undo the delete process.
- Click the Product and Services link from the Main Menu. The Product and Services screen opens.
- Select the product/service to delete.
- Right-click and select Mark for Delete.
- Click Save.
