The System Health Check identifies areas of the application that may require reconfiguration, revision, or other intervention. As the application evolves there may be options that are no longer valid. The System Health Check helps administrators or other users to identify these areas.
The areas listed below are currently reviewed during the System Health Check. Future releases will extend the System Health Check to additional areas.
- Document Classes: Identifies document classes not configured as expected.
- EZWriter Data Sources: Identifies data sources configured in a manner preventing the proper wildcard replacement, invalid SQL statements, and so on.
- Email and Merge Templates: Identifies errors in Email and EZ Writer Templates and reports on where the problem has occurred.
- Word Merge Templates: Identifies errors in Word Merge Templates and reports on where the problem has occurred.
- Retired Users with a User Licence: Identifies any users who have been retired but are still assigned a user licence.
It is a recommended best practice to run a System Health Check after an update and review the Excel document it produces. The following information is provided for each potential issue:
- Area: The subject area of the potential issue.
- Primary Key: Unique identifier information for the source of the potential issue.
- Description: Configured name and location information for the potential issue. The information displayed is dependent upon the subject area.
- Error Message: Detailed error findings resulting from the System Health Check.
- Additional Information: Recommended solution or general guidance.
- Link to Page: Link to the master table page or individual issue within the software.
