When using an email and merge template, users have the option to include registration parameters in the Momentus links that are generated using email and merge templates.
The following registration URL parameters are supported in email and merge templates.

Booth Number – This parameter is used for exhibitor registration.
- Must be used with an Exhibitor email template subject.
- Data Source = Exhibitor Booth Number

Exhibitor Registration – This parameter is used to determine whether the URL is an exhibitor registration URL or a standard registration URL.
- Saved Value = Yes/No

Language – This parameter determines which language to use when loading the URL. If no language is provided, the event’s Default Language will be used.
- Saved Value – Choose from a list of available languages.

Order Number – This parameter is used to include the order number of the existing registration order in the URL. This can be used when directing a user to edit their order.
- Must be used with the Registration Orders email template subject.
- Data Source = Order

Promo Code – Use this parameter to include a specific promo code in the URL to have it automatically applied.
- Saved Value = Choose promo code from drop down.

Registrant Type – This parameter is used to include a specific registrant type in the URL.
- Saved Value = Choose from a list of registrant types.

Test Link- This parameter is used to determine whether the URL should create test orders only. NOTE: If this parameter is in use, NO orders will be saved to the database that are placed using this parameter. This is the same functionality as Preview Registration.
- Saved Value = Yes/No

Web Skin ID – This parameter is used to set a specific web skin in the URL.
- Saved Value = Choose web skin from a list of system web skins.

Confirmation Number – This parameter is used in conjunction with the Booth Number Parameter to bypass the Booth/Confirmation number screen in Exhibitor Registration.
- Must be used with an Exhibitor email template subject.
- Data Source = Order - Exhibitor Booth Order

Account Code – This parameter is used to include the account’s account code in the URL to automatically log the user in.
- Can be used with any email template subject that supports the account code parameter, such as All Accounts or Registration Orders.
- Data Source = Account Code
Create a Momentus Link with Registration Parameters
Follow the steps below to create a Momentus Link which includes registration parameters. We'll use the example of an All Accounts email template that includes the account code in the URL to bypass the login screen and automatically log the user in.
- In the Main Menu, search for and select Email and Merge Templates.
- Add a new template. For our example, create a template with the All Accounts email template subject.
- In the text editor, click Insert Momentus Link. The Select Link Type window will open.
- In the drop down select Registration and click OK. The Insert Momentus Link window will open.
- Add required information:
- Link Format - select Text.
- Text - Enter the link text that should be displayed to the end user.
- Type - Confirm that Registration is selected.
- Registration Configuration Type - Choose a valid configuration that exists on the event. If your event only has one configuration, choose Use Default from the drop down.
- Expand the Link Parameters section and click Add Registration Link Parameter. The Link Parameter window opens.
- Add required information:
- Registration URL Parameters - Choose the type of parameter. For our example, choose Account Code.

Data Source - Choose the source of the data for the parameter:

Refer to the list of parameters above and select either Data Source or Saved Value as appropriate. For our example, choose Data Source.

Data Source - The Source Value and Default Value fields will appear.
- Source Value - Refer to the information above, and search for and select the correct source. For our example, select Account Code.
- Default Value - Add a default value to be used if data cannot be added from the Source Value.
- Saved Value - The Registration URL Values field will appear. Select the correct value from the drop down.

Data Source - The Source Value and Default Value fields will appear.

Refer to the list of parameters above and select either Data Source or Saved Value as appropriate. For our example, choose Data Source.
- Click OK to save the link parameter. The Link Parameter window closes.
- (OPTIONAL) In the Link Parameters grid, click in the Default Value column for the @Event parameter and type in the Event ID for your event.
- Note: If you do not wish to enter the Event ID in the @Event parameter, you will be prompted to enter the event ID upon sending the email.
- Click OK to save.
To use the example email template and link, go to an account and send an email using the template. The registration URL will be included in the email with the account code automatically encrypted in the URL so the user can bypass logging in. If you chose not to include the Event ID In the @Event parameter, you will be prompted to enter the event ID when you send the email.
