Version 1 Payment Portals will be retired in the 2024.4 release, slated for Q4 2024. This means that Version 1 Payment Portals will no longer be able to be:
- Configured or edited via the Payment Portal configuration window.
- Utilized for email templates to collect payment.
- Utilized within Make a Payment task workflows for ESC or EXP.
While Version 2 Customer Payment Portals are already capable of replacing most Version 1 Payment Portals, the 2024.1 release will provide the final capabilities needed to allow all clients to transition:
- Configuration of the Billing History Page
- Invoice Credit Note support
- More robust real-time Report Configuration.
We encourage all customers who are still using a Version 1 Payment Portal to begin transitioning over to the new Version 2 Customer Payment Portal. Once you have configured the Version 2 portal, be sure to update any email templates, extensions, or your website where you were using the Version 1 portal. For more information about configuring a Version 2 Customer Payment Portal, please see Payment Applications and Configuration.
If you aren't sure which version your payment portal is, go to the Enterprise application. In the Main Menu, search for and select Payment Portal Configuration. Select your configuration. The portal version will be listed on the configuration page.
