Note classes are used to categorize the type of note you are adding, such as Additional Information or Setup Instructions. When adding a note, you can select the note class for the note.
- Click the Note Classes link from the Main Menu. The Note Classes screen opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Note Class screen opens.
- Enter the following information:
- Description - Description for the note class. Defaults into the Title field when adding a new note.
- Code - Unique alphanumeric code.
- Automatic Use Only - If checked, the note class is used for system generated notes and not available for selection in the Note Class drop-down.
- Reminder - If checked, if a note with the note class is added to an event, a note reminder displays when adding a service order or registration order to the event.
- Prompt - If checked, the Add Activity screen displays after adding a note with the note class.
- Retire - If checked, the note class is not available in the Note Class drop-down.
- Default Font Size - Default font size for notes of this note class. If there is no font size specified, Ungerboeck uses the font size in organization parameter AA 149.
- Default Font Family - Default font for notes of this note class. If there is no font family selected, the system uses the font family specified in organization parameter AA 149.
- Recipient List - List of users to receive an activity after saving a new note with the note class.
- Sensitivity - Default sensitivity for notes with the note class.
- Category - Category for notes with the note class.
- Select the Note Template tab.
- Enter the Title and Text for the note class. When the note class is selected on the Add Note screen, the title and text entered here defaults. You can use Plain Text or Rich Text for additional formatting options.
- Select the Advanced tab.
- Check the check box for each area of Ungerboeck the note class is available.
- Click OK.

Is the ability to configure note classes available with the Flex Edition of USI (Version 20.82)? I'm not able to view it on my main menu list or search for it.

Hi
For an template document we have used Note classes in Ungerboeck and the notes are being entered on 2nd and 3rd lines, however when the event template document is pulled via the documents tab these lines are all one line, how can we make the document pull out the lines exactly as they are input into Ungerboeck 2nd and 3rd etc.
Thanks

Hi Kris,
I spoke with our Development team and the only way to make this work is through Advanced Rich Text Editor. The non-preferred method is using which is not breaking space character (& and ; are important for this to work). You would need to drop these in span tags. The preferred method is through padding or margins with HTML attributes.
Hope this helps.

Would anybody be able to advise why we don't have the organization parameter AA 149? Do I need to add it?
Thanks,

Hi Asha,
It is not uncommon to be missing some more obscure parameters but I would expect you to have this one.
It is on the Organization Configuration page. On the General tab on the second column look for 'Default Font for Note Text'. If you click on the description text, you should see the corresponding note at the bottom prefixed with 'AA 149'

Hi Sean,
Thank you for your quick reply! It was there all along and it's already set to our desired font. I've manually changed all existing note classes to be Arial also - hopefully this will resolve our mixed fonts in reports.
Thanks again!

Is there any chance to configure pictures within a note class that can be seen and printed on reports or in public portals?
Kind regards
Christine

Hi Christine,
You cannot see pictures in notes on crystal reports but they can be displayed in public portals. I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,
