If an invoice does not display an item's rate, units, start dates and times, end dates and times and/or extended charge, then the item is configured to not display that information. You can configure this for an item on the Edit Item screen, Edit Price List Item screen and Edit Resource screen.
The settings configured on the Edit Resource screen are automatically used on the Edit Price List and Edit Item screen for items that are added to the price lists and/or orders after you make the change. This means you may need to update items on existing orders and on existing price lists individually. However, after making the change on the Edit Resource screen, the next time you add the item to a price list or to an order, it uses the settings from the Edit Resource screen.
Edit Item Screen
You can update the information for items that are not completed or closed. If an item is completed or closed, then you need to reopen the order and item to update the information.
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events screen opens.
- Select the event with the order that is not displaying the information.
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Event screen opens.
- Select the Service Order Items tab.
- Select the service order item that is not displaying the information.
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Service Order Item screen opens.
- Select the Additional Information tab.
- Expand the Billing section.
- Check the checkbox(es) for Show Start Date, Show Start Time, Show End Date, Show End Time, Show Units, Show Rate and/or Show Extended Charge.
- Click OK.
Edit Price List Item
- Click the Price Lists link from the Main Menu. The Price Lists screen opens.
- Select the price list used for the order that is not showing the item information.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Price List screen opens.
- Select the Price List Items tab.
- Select the item that is not showing the item information.
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Price List Item screen opens.
- Select the Display tab.
- Check the checkbox(es) for Show Start Date, Show Start Time, Show End Date, Show End Time, Show Units, Show Rate and/or Show Extended Charge.
- Click OK.
Edit Resource
- Click the Resources link from the Main Menu. The Resources screen opens.
- Select the resource that is not showing the item information.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Resource screen opens.
- Select the Additional Information tab.
- Expand the Display section.
- Check the checkbox(es) for Show Start Date, Show Start Time, Show End Date, Show End Time, Show Units, Show Rate and/or Show Extended Charge.
- Click OK.

Thanks Sara and Maggie! The first 2 updated links work great. The third still gives me an error, I noticed the title bar of my browser says "You're not authorized to...". I found the solution I was searching for in the first link though. Now I can get back to all the good stuff #ugc2015

Hello,
I am trying to do the opposite of this. Most of the time we want units, rate, and extended charge to show on reports. But sometimes there are times we want a single service item for a particular event not to show units, etc. On the item we unchecked units, rates but the rate still shows up. Is there a way to fix this? thanks!

Hi Megan,
First thing we should check is which report you are using and if it's a standard report or a custom report. If you look in the bottom left corner of the report, there should be a code - something like CBL100. If you could send me that code, that will determine the next steps.
Also, if you can include what version you are using, I can also do some testing in that version.

I was able to test this with the report you are using and confirm that the Rate is still showing even though the check box is unchecked. This is something that our Development Team needs to fix.
