You can enter credit ratings and credit limits for accounts. You can use this for informational purposes only or you can use it to prevent the adding of new orders if the credit limit amount is exceeded for an account.
Set a Credit Limit and/or Credit Rating for an Account
- Click the Accounts link for appropriate designation from the Main Menu. The Accounts screen opens.
- Select the account to assign the credit rating and/or credit limit.
- Right-click and select View -> A/R Demographics. The A/R Demographics screen opens.
- Expand the Credit & Collections section.
- Enter the credit limit amount into the Credit Limit field.
- Enter the credit rating into the Credit Rating field.
- Enter a date into the Credit Review Date if you would like to review the information in the future.
- Click OK.
Set a Default Credit Limit and/or Credit Rating for All Accounts
You can configure the system to default a credit limit and/or credit rating amount by default when adding a new account.
- Click the Accounts Receivable Configuration link from the Main Menu. The Accounts Receivable Configuration screen opens.
- Select the General tab.
- Enter the default values to use in the Credit Rating and/or Credit Limit fields in the Default Account Demographics section.
- Click OK.
Enforce Credit Limits When Adding Orders
You must enable Credit Checks for the system to check the credit limit for an account when adding new orders. If this Credit Checks are not enabled, the information is for informational purposes only and does not prevent new orders if an account has exceeded the credit limit.
- Click the Accounts Receivable Configuration link from the Main Menu. The Accounts Receivable Configuration screen opens.
- Select the General tab.
- Check the Enable Credit Check check box in the Other section.
- Click OK.

Is there a way to set a notifier/email when an accounts credit review date is expired.

Carla - the best way to handle this would be to add a Reminder/Activity for the expiration date, or prior to that date.
