If you want to enable a maximum capacity control for your event registration you can do it on 3 different levels: Event level, Function level and Item level. This allows you to have different maximum capacities depending on the registrant type.
These are the different settings that you could use:
1. Level "Event:" Set across all Functions, counts each single registration Item that has been ordered. It is recommended not to set a maximum if using more than one registration Function with more than one item.
2. Level "Function:" Set specifically for that given Function, counts each single registration item that has been ordered for that Function.
3. Level "Item:" There are 4 possible Check Max For settings:
- All: Check available capacity against the Event setting, the Function setting and the given Item setting.
- Function Maximum Capacity is not exceeded. If not, it checks if the given Item Maximum Capacity is not exceeded.
- Event/Item: Check available capacity against the Event setting and the given Item setting. If Even Maximum Capacity is not exceeded, it checks if Item Maximum Capacity is not exceeded.
- Function/Item: Check available capacity against the Function setting and the given Item setting. If Function Maximum Capacity is not exceeded, it checks if Item Maximum Capacity is not exceeded.
- Item Only: Check available capacity against only the given Item setting. Checks if Item Maximum Capacity is not exceeded.
4. If an Item is calculated as having exceeded the Maximum Capacity, it will be marked as SOLD OUT during the registration.
