You can configure registration so a default payment plan is assigned to new registration orders, both when entered from Momentus Enterprise and when entered through public-facing registration.
When you set a default payment plan for orders it also applies to service orders as well as registration orders. To set up a default payment plan for orders within Enterprise:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events screen opens.
- Select the event with the registration setup.
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Event screen opens.
- Select the Details tab.
- Expand the Financial section.
- Select the default payment plan from the Payment Plan drop-down.
- Click OK.
To set up a default payment plan for orders entered through public-facing registration:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events screen opens.
- Select the event for the registration setup.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Registration -> Registration Setup. The Registration Setup screen opens.
- Select the default payment plan from the Default Payment Plan drop-down.
- Click OK.
To allow your public-facing users to select a payment plan instead of setting a default payment plan:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events screen opens.
- Select the event for the registration setup.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Registration Setup. The Registration Setup screen opens.
- Select the Registration Form Setup tab.
- Expand the Appearance section.
- Click the Edit Form Template hyperlink next to the Form Template - Online Configuration drop-down. The Form Template screen opens.
- Select Payment under the Payments Group heading.
- Click the Edit Component hyperlink in the Payments Group on the right. The Edit Payment Form Section screen opens.
- Check the Payment Plan check box.
- Select the available payment plans from the Payment Plan drop-down.
- Check the Make Payment Plan Required check box to require the registrant to select a payment plan to continue with registration.
- Click OK. You return to the Form Template screen.
- Click OK. You return to the Edit Registration Setup screen.

As of more recent versions of Ungerboeck (since April 2014) a new feature has been implemented in the V20 Registration Setup screen to streamline the abovementioned process.
You may now control the default payment plan by opening an event's Registration Setup screen and in the Pricing tab, select the relevant payment schedule from the "Default payment plan" drop-down option.
