There are two different types of regions available within the software: regions and market regions.
- Regions (EV898_SALES_REGIONS) – Regions classify accounts or contacts. For example, an account's geographic or sales region.
- Market Regions (CM020_MKT_REGION) – Market regions are used in event opportunities to classify where an event could take place. CM961_SALES_REG
The name of the field and column is Region in both the Account and Contact screens and the Event Opportunities screen. The location of the field (i.e., Account/Contact screen or Event Opportunities screen) determines which values display for selection.
Within any Event Opportunities screen, you can display the region of the account, contact, or local contact for the event opportunity, but the field is view-only and you cannot edit it directly. These fields are named: Region - Meeting Account, Region - Meeting Contact and Region - Local Contact.
