A product brand is the company that manufactures a particular product. For example, Coca-Cola is the brand for Coca Cola, Sprite and Powerade and Pepsi is the brand for Pepsi, Sierra Mist and Gatorade. Multiple brands can be assigned to a product or service. Brands are not related to product categories. See Products and Services for details on the hierarchy Momentus uses with products and services.

Add a Product Brand
- Navigate to the Product Brands page and click Add. The Add Brand window opens.
- Enter the following information:
- Description: Name of the brand.
- Code: Unique alphanumeric value.
- Click OK.
Edit a Product Brand Description
The description for a product brand can be edited after creation. When the description for a product brand is edited, it updates wherever the brand is used. To avoid updating the existing brand data, it is necessary to add a new brand using the steps in Add a Product Brand.
- Navigate to the Product Brands page and select the brand to edit.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Brand window opens.
- Update the description.
- Click OK.
Inactivate a Product Brand
If a product brand is no longer used but you want to keep record of it for reporting or other purposes, it can be made inactive. When a product brand is inactive, it is no longer available to assign to products.
- Navigate to the Product Brands page and select the brand to make inactive.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Brand window opens.
- Check Retire.
- Click OK.
Delete a Product Brand
If a product brand is no longer used and you don't want to keep a record of it, it can be deleted. Brands assigned to a product, account, event or exhibitor cannot be deleted. The delete process cannot be undone.
- Navigate to the Product Brands page and right-click on the brand to delete.
- Right-click on the brand to delete.
- Select Mark for Delete.
- Click Save.
