Processing Scheduled Tasks

  • Levin - in the Report Master, double check the "Report Prompt Option" on that report.  On this end, if I toggle "Automatically create the prompt for this report", forcing the system to (re)apply Object "Generic Report Prompt (1304)", the schedule option appears.

Once I'm done scheduling I restore to the original prompt option (typically "Do not use...") to clean up the parameter window again.

    Hi Zak,

I tried that just now, with different reports too. But no luck... Which version of v30 are you on? And hotfix?

    Thank you,

It's all good now. Turned out when switching from On Premise to Cloud, I am now using my own account instead of USIADMIN. And my account has multiple roles that one of them denied the scheduled report access.

    Hi

Is there a document/area on the support center or knowledge base about how to create or how these operate in V30?

    Thanks

    Hi Kris,

This is currently the only article we have about scheduled tasks. Are you looking for more information about how to set up a report as a task? Or is there other information you are looking for?

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Kris,

You first want to make sure your task engine is set up. If you need assistance with setting this up please contact your Customer Success Manager and they can enter an IT ticket on your behalf.

As far as setting up the report on the report master you will want to first make sure it is assigned to the correct report list you are wanting to schedule from (Account, Campaign, Events, etc). From there you will want to go to that area of the software and click on Reports dropdown > select Reports. The report window will then open. Select the specific report you want to use.

On the report there should be a Schedule Report button at the top (click it). Please note that not every standard report has the Schedule Report action. If it is not showing it has most likely been removed by an administrator. The Add Scheduled Task(s) window should now open. The task parameters are set and come in before you close the schedule task. The Context Subject should be set to the area of the software it is coming from and Task Type should be set to Report. You can set up the Interval for one time, hourly, daily, weekly or monthly. You can either save to your folder or send to email. Click OK/apply to save your changes. The last thing you will want to do is go to Scheduled Tasks off the main menu and make sure your report task appears.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi all,

I just ran a scheduled report with several recipients in "To:" and some in "CC:" and it sent a separate email to each of the "To:" recipients with the ""CC:" recipients being copied in for every email. Is there a switch (like with the regular emails) to have them all receive a shared email?
Or is this something that can just be solved with mailing lists outside of Ungerboeck?

  • Ryan Canny

    Hi Elisabeth,

The 'Send email as' field option to select Single, shared email to all recipients is not available for Scheduled Tasks yet. I would encourage you to post this in our General Product Ideas thread below so our Product Management team can review as a possible enhancement in the future.
