The below information applies to you if you host your own database on-premise. If your database is hosted by Momentus, your reports are imported for you. Contact the Client Care Team if you need this process completed on your hosted database.
One of the most significant benefits to upgrading to v30 is that you can run reports anywhere, directly through the v30 site. Before you can run your custom reports, you do need to import them into the database.
- Log into v30 from a machine with access to the file location where Crystal Reports are stored.
- Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the NewGen\Crystal folder. Leave this screen open and return to v30.
- Click the System Parameters link from the Main Menu. The System Parameters page opens.
- Select system parameter AA (application) 118 (code). If the parameter does not exist, follow the below steps:
- Click the Add button. The Add System Parameter window opens.
- Enter the following information:
- Application – AA
- Code – 118
- Description – Crystal Report Location
- Alphanumeric Value – Copy and paste the path to the Crystal Reports folder opened in step 2.
- Active – Leave checked.
- Click OK.
- Proceed to step 7.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit System Parameter window opens.
- Copy and paste the path to the Crystal Reports folder opened in step 2 into the Alphanumeric Value field.
- Click OK.
- Close all screens, log out of v30 and then log back into v30.
- Click the Report Master link from the Main Menu. The Report Master page opens.
- Select Tools.
- Select Import Custom Reports. A message displays confirming you want to import all custom reports into the database and that it does not overwrite any custom reports that already exist.
- Click Yes. The custom report import begins. During the process, the software uses the file location in the system parameter from step 4 and separates the Crystal Reports already in the database from those that are not. The .rpt files not already in the software are imported into the database. Once the import process is complete, a confirmation message displays.
If you receive the message “There were no custom reports found to import”, verify the location is correct in system parameter AA 118. You may also receive this message if another user has already imported the reports.
You do not need to import reports added directly through the Report Master as the import is done automatically. For more information, see Add a Custom Report.
