One of the key aspects of iEBMS Presentation is understanding the iEBMS Presentation Hierarchy.
Within the iEBMS Presentation window (Main Menu > iEBMS > Presentation), the left hand side shows a tree view of all of the Presentation that has been applied to your iEBMS modules, configurations, and pages. This tree structure can be used to your advantage so that you can have all of your iEBMS pages with the same Presentation applied, or you can apply a particular Presentation to a specific iEBMS module or configuration, or even a particular page within a configuration.
If you apply an iEBMS Presentation Item (Structure, Style, Top, Left, Right or Bottom) to the top most level in the tree (the 'Site' level), that item will automatically be inherited by everything below it. This allows you to create one set of Presentation that is applied to all of your iEBMS configurations and pages.
If you then want to make one of your iEBMS modules, configurations, or pages appear different, you can then apply iEBMS Presentation at a lower level in the tree. This new Presentation will then apply to everything else below it in the tree, but it will not affect anything above it.
For example, if you added a Structure Item to the 'Site' level of the hierarchy, and a Structure Item to the 'Calendar of Events (COE)' level, then all iEBMS pages except for the COE pages would inherit the 'Site' level Structure, whereas all pages in COE would inherit the 'Calendar of Events (COE)' level Structure.
Another example is that you can have a consistent Structure Item applied at the 'Site' level of the hierarchy, but you can apply different Top sections to your various iEBMS modules, configurations, or pages. This will allow you to have a consistent structure to all of your iEBMS pages, but have a unique header or image displayed.
