The look and feel of the iEBMS web pages can be customized using a feature called iEBMS Presentation. A common request is the requirement of adding an image (or logo) to the top of the page.
The first step of this process is to obtain the URL (or web address) on the image that you want to use:
- If your company already has a website you may be able to use an image that is already available. Find the image that you want to use, and get the URL of the image. If you cannot find the URL, liaise with your web administrator/s for assistance.
- If you cannot find an image that is already available for use you will have to upload an image to a web server so that it can be accessed via a URL. The image can be uploaded to the same web server as the rest of your iEBMS installation files, to your company's website, or to another third-party image hosting website that allows direct linking to the image.
If you are a Hosted customer and need somewhere to host images, please contact Support Services. - If do not have a suitable image to use, you may have to create the image yourself in a suitable format. A typical size for the image at the top of an iEBMS web page is 600 pixels wide and 150 pixels high, however this can vary depending upon your requirements.
At the end of this step, you should have a URL to the image that you want to use.
It is recommended that the image that you want to use is available over the 'https' protocol.
The next step is to create a file that contains a small snippet of HTML that includes a reference to the image URL:
- Open Notepad, or any other text/HTML editor.
- Insert the following code, replacing the values as appropriate:
<img src="https://supportcenter.ungerboeck.com/system/logos/2055/2676/Ungerboeck.png" alt="Ungerboeck Software" />
- Save the file, taking note of the location and filename that you give it.
The last step is to add the file your just created to the system. The following steps assume that you do not have any previous iEBMS Presentation applied:
- From the v19 Main Menu select iEBMS on the left, and Presentation on the right.
From the v20 Main Menu search for 'Presentation', and click on 'Presentations (v19)'. - Within the iEBMS Presentation window, select 'Site' on the left.
- On the right, right-click and select 'Add Top Section...'.
- In the bottom right, change the drop-down that says 'HTML Files' to 'All Files'.
- Locate the file that you created above, and click 'Open'.
You should now have an entry on the right called 'Top', and when you load any of your iEBMS web pages you should see the image at the top of the web pages.
If you already have some previous iEBMS Presentation applied, the basic steps shown above may not be comprehensive enough for your requirements. In this case, please contact Support Services for customized assistance.
