Note classes can be used to display additional event details (program information, target group, objectives, speaker information, etc.) on the online calendar of events.
To configure this, follow the below steps:
- To set up the necessary note classes, click on the Note Classes link from the Main Menu. The Note Classes page opens.
- On the Note Classes page, click Add. The Add Note Class window opens.
- Enter the code, description of the note class and sensitivity of the note class. The sensitivity will be used later to control which notes will display on the calendar of events.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 2-4 until all the necessary note classes have been added.
- From the Main Menu, click on the Calendar of Events Configurations (iEBMS COE) link.
- To add a new Calendar of Events configuration, click the Add button. To edit an existing Calendar of Events configuration, select the configuration and click the Edit button. The Add/Edit Calendar of Events Configuration window opens.
- On the Select Event On Click Options tab, check the Configure Event on Click box. This allows the event on the Calendar of Events to be a clickable hyperlink.
- Click the Event Click On Options drop-down. This allows you to select what page will open once the user clicks on the event on the Calendar of Events.
- Select the Event Details Page option.
- Click the Configure Event Details hyperlink. The Configure Event Details window opens.
- In the Note Fields section of the screen, use the Note 1-10 fields to select the note classes to be displayed in the online calendar of events. In addition to the event description, you can configure up to 10 additional notes to display.
- Update the Label field with the name of the note to be displayed on the online calendar of events.
- In the Include Note 1-10 On drop-down, select the page the note class should display. In most cases, it will be the Detail Page.
- You can select the Note Sensitivity range to control which notes of each of your selected note classes will display online.
- From the Global Navigation Bar, click on the Events button. The Events page opens.
- Find the event that will be displayed on the online calendar of events and click the Notes tab.
- Add the notes with the appropriate note classes that were configured for the calendar of events configuration that need to be displayed online. Make sure the language setting of your note matches the dictionary setting of your calendar of events configuration.
After all the notes have been added, you can view your online calendar of events and the notes with matching note classes and sensitivities will display on the event details for an event.
