You can adjust the electronic credit card authorization process If you do not want to electronically authorize your credit card transactions or you want to choose when you electronically authorize your credit card transactions.
Turn Off Electronic Credit Card Authorization
If you do not want to use electronic credit card authorization:
- Click the Receivable Transaction Types link from the Main Menu. The Receivable Transaction Types screen opens.
- Select one of the credit card types you do not want to authorize electronically.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Receivable Transaction Types screen opens.
- Select the CC Authorization tab.
- Uncheck the Authorize check box.
- Click OK.
- Repeat steps 2-6 for each credit card type you do not want to electronically authorize.
Choose When to Electronically Authorize Credit Card Transactions
If you want to choose to electronically authorize a credit card:
- Click the Access Privileges link from the Main Menu. The Access Privileges screen opens.
- Select the Allow Electronic Credit Card Authorization Override access privilege.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Access Privilege screen opens.
- Select the Access Privilege Details tab.
- Click the Manage button. The Assign Access Privileges screen opens.
- Select the role(s) and/or user(s) to assign to the access privilege in the Available section of the screen. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple roles and/or users.
- Click the single right arrow button to move the selected role(s) and/or user(s) to the Selected section of the screen.
- Click OK.
Now when entering credit card payments, an Electronic check box is available. Your users can uncheck this check box to not electronically authorize credit card transactions.
