Bookings can be deleted from an event. Once you delete a booking, you can no longer view it on the Bookings tab and it is automatically removed from the booking order (the service order created for the space charges). If the event is contracted, you will need to revise the contract to update it with the deleted booking.
In this article:
Delete a Booking
- Navigate to the Events page and select the event with the bookings to delete.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Event window opens.
- Select the Bookings tab.
- Select the bookings to delete. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple bookings.
- Right-click and select Mark for Delete.
- Click Save. The bookings are deleted from the Bookings tab.
View Deleted Booking Logs
If you have activated the Event Booking Delete audit log transaction, this action will be tracked in the Audit Log. This log will allow you to see when it was deleted, who deleted it, and the status of the booking when it was deleted. For instructions to activate this log, see Audit Log Tracking.
View Deleted Bookings across multiple Events
To view deleted booking logs across multiple events:
- Navigate to the Audit Log page.
- Add search criteria:
- Changed On: Narrow your search results by adding the date or date range when you think the booking was deleted.
- Event: Add the event names to search for bookings deleted from a specific events.
- Transaction Class: Event Booking
- Transaction Type: Event Booking Delete
- Click Search. The deleted bookings matching the search criteria show in the grid.
View Deleted Bookings on one Event
To view deleted booking logs on one event:
- Navigate to the Events page and select the event. The event details page opens on the right.
- Select Tools > Audit Log.
- Add search criteria:
- Transaction Class: Event Booking
- Transaction Type: Event Booking Delete
- Click Search. The deleted bookings matching the search criteria show in the grid.
Deleted Booking Automatic Notes
An automatic note can be added to an event when a booking is deleted. This note includes when the booking was deleted, who deleted it, the status of the booking when it was deleted, and the booking's dates and times.
To ensure an automatic note is created:
- On the Note Classes page, confirm that a Delete note class with the code DELETE has been created.

- In the Booking Configuration window, select the Other tab. In the Booking Delete Note Class field, confirm that the DELETE note class code is selected.
