Momentus Mobile is a small-screen-optimized version of Momentus Enterprise. Users are given access to specific features in Mobile. Due to the limitations of screen size, not all functions are available in Mobile.
If you are licensed for Momentus Phone rather than Mobile, see Momentus Phone.
To allow a user access to the mobile application:
- From the Main Menu, search for and select Phone/Mobile Features. The Phone/Mobile Features page opens.
- Select the feature you wish the user to have access to.
- On the Users tab, select Manage. The Manage Feature Users window opens.
- Select the users to add to the feature by clicking the green plus sign next to the user or by using the right arrow in the center of the screen. Users will only have access to the features assigned on the Phone/Mobile Features page.
- Click OK.
- Repeat these steps with any additional features.
- In the Main Menu, search for and select Users. The Users page opens.
- Grant the users the mobile access:
- For a single user:
- Select the user.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit User window opens.
- Select the Access and Security tab.
- Check the Phone/Mobile Access check box.
- Click OK.
- For multiple users:
- Select the users using Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click.
- Right-click and select Edit Multiple. The Edit Multiple Users window opens.
- Expand the Access and Security section.
- Check the Phone/Mobile Access check box.
- Select Yes from the drop-down.
- Click OK.
- For a single user:
When navigating to your Enterprise URL on a mobile device (smartphone, tablet, or phablet) will automatically redirect to the mobile site.

My search parameters have carried over, but not the Sort, Group and Total settings. Any advice?

The method used to display the Mobile features today on phone and tablet do not support sort, group, and subtotal. As we transition the base application to HTML5, we plan to allow the entire Ungerboeck application on tablets (but not phones). This would then allow that feature set to be available.

Is it possible to adjust views in Mobile? We're hoping to adjust our Events view so that the columns appear in a different order.
I see in our Users screen that we can assign users specific themes for mobile; I haven't been able to figure out how to edit (or create) a theme for mobile.

Alex,
The users window mobile field is for the old Mobile CRM which does not exist anymore. In the new mobile, the mobile view is the default view from v20. At this time, There is no way to configure a specific mobile view which would have less columns. I'm positive this is on the road map for v20 but there hasn't been a date established to have it added to the functionality.

Could we use this on V19.6? Thanks

The Ungerboeck Mobile platform illustrated in this article is only available on 20.7G and above, and ideally works on 20.8 and above.
Additionally, mainstream support for version 19.6/20.6 has ended. Click here to view the end of support notices.

I have a User who clicked on Toggle Mobile Mode from his mobile and now he can not get past the Preparing Your Ungerboeck Experience. What is the Toggle Mobile Mode, and what do you recommend for him to get past that initial start up so he can use Ungerboeck Mobile?
Thanks!

Hi
Is there any update on access to add more themes for Ungerboeck mobile?
Thanks

Currently, Ungerboeck Mobile supports the default theme from the version 20 instance of the software. There are not currently plans to allow for multiple themes or toggling among themes within Mobile but I will pass along the message to Product Management.

Hi,
Is there any functionality within Ungerboeck Mobile to add a Document to an Event, Opportunity, etc?

In the existing version of Ungerboeck Mobile there is not any method for uploading a document into the software. What types of documents and from what source would they originate? I only ask because Mobile from the standpoint of a phone has far less document capabilities than a tablet or desktop which can access deeper into applications.

Hi Ken,
At the moment we have a tablet device although we may be looking to get mobile devices as well. Although, all device would be operating on Android OS.
I assume the main types of document uploads would consist of;

Is there any functionality to run any event reports within Ungerboeck Mobile?

Is there any known reason why users are unable to view Documents and Activities assigned to an Opportunity?

Ungerboeck Mobile refers to the ability to use the software on a phone. Version 30 for Venues can be used on a desktop or tablet, and has the full functionality. The phone or Mobile experience was never designed to be a full Ungerboeck experience, much like many websites have a limited mobile version and a full desktop version. The general intent with a phone is to look up or quickly add something, while more complex requests are made in the full application. Reporting, because of the engine that we use, is not available in Ungerboeck Mobile.

For your second question about why users are unable to view Documents and Activities assigned to an Opportunity, I would suggest you reach out to our Client Care team to get a better feel than you can probably describe over the Community forum. There are access privileges that come into play on documents, and older versions may behave/have behaved differently than newer versions. There are also settings at the Account and Contact level that could impact whether a document or activity displays or not that we could be back and forth for days on this forum, and I want you to get a quicker and clearer answer with one of our excellent Client Care team members.

Are there currently plans to add any of the Inventory Management items to mobile? Specifically Inventory Transaction Batches and Scan to inventory?

There are plans to bring inventory into the mobile suite. We are in the process of developing out the API to allow for our own mobile applications to make use of.

Hi
Similar to how we can choose a theme for mobiles will we be able to choose a dashboard for mobile?
Thanks

Kris - We have started to transition our efforts from Ungerboeck Mobile to Ungerboeck Phone. With v30 being accessible on a tablet, we are putting our focus on what a user wants to do on a phone. Viewing dashboard reports is something we see being in this offering. We are still working through our approach for this but would be interested to hear how you see your staff using this feature. Thanks.

Hi Mike
It was more so to differentiate the dashboards similar to themes, we have created dashboards and named them 'Mobile....' and assigned them to staff but we want them to access a different one on the desktop, and if this was separated these were able to be chosen on a mobile list, so the mobiles entries you created would only be chosen on a mobile as opposed to desktop and vice versa (I hope this makes sense)
It would also be handy if the dashboard for mobiles for meant for a mobile as oppose to how we are doing this now of creating a dashboard with very limited views/buttons to make this mobile friendly.
However reporting would also be a very good feature, maybe the crystal present reports could be mobile friendly.
Thanks

Hi
Another query ref mobile, can we edit the layout for the mobile theme?
If so how?
Thanks
Kris

Kris - For Ungerboeck Mobile, the layout is shared between BackOffice and Mobile. We are currently planning out how to address this with Ungerboeck Phone so I don't have a definite answer today for that.

Thanks Mike
Feedback from our mobile users would be to also edit the layout for the mobile theme for express users.
