Notes can be assigned a sensitivity which controls which notes users in the software can view, edit and delete when used in conjunction with the Allow Viewing of Notes by Sensitivity, Allow Editing of Notes by Sensitivity and Allow Delete of Notes by Sensitivity access privileges. By default, all users can view, edit and delete notes regardless of sensitivity.
Note sensitivity is also used to control which notes can be viewed online as well as which notes show on reports.
Notes are assigned a default sensitivity based on the Note Class assigned to the note. The sensitivity can be changed when the note is added.
Below are the available note sensitivities:
- Public - The note is intended to be viewed by both internal and external audiences.
- External - The note is intended to be viewed by external audiences only.
- Privileged - The note can only be viewed, edited and/or deleted within the software by users with the proper access as defined by the Allow Viewing of Notes by Sensitivity, Allow Editing of Notes by Sensitivity and Allow Delete of Notes by Sensitivity access privileges.
- Internal - The note is intended to be viewed by internal audiences only.
- Confidential - The note is intended to be private and can only be viewed, edited or deleted by users with the proper access. These notes also do not generally appear on reports unless they are selected to be included when running the report. For example, the Event Order Confirmation Report allows users to select to display notes for certain sensitivities.

Is it possible to change the default note sensitivity?

Hi John,
Yes it is possible. On Note Classes in Ungerboeck back-office you can go into the specific note class and change the sensitivity field there. When a note is then added after your change it will reflect the new sensitivity selected.
Thanks,
Ryan
