Once you have all your accounts/contacts in your campaign, you can now work that campaign. Working a campaign may include sending emails, making phone calls, and updating the campaign detail status as you progress through the business process for each of your accounts/contacts.
You work a campaign from the Campaign Results page. This page lists all the accounts/contacts included in your campaign. From this screen, you can send emails, update the campaign detail status, add activities to the account/contact, and perform all other account/contact tasks.
Send Emails From a Campaign
- Navigate to Campaigns for the appropriate feature and select the campaign you want to work on.
- Select the campaign for the emails.
- Right-click and select View > Results. The Campaign Results page opens. You may need to click Search for the results to appear.
- Select the accounts/contacts to receive the email. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple accounts/contacts.
- Right-click and select Tools > Send Email. The Email window opens with the email addresses of the selected accounts/contact defaulted into the To field.
- If desired, select the campaign detail status to assign to the accounts/contacts from the After Sending Change Status To drop-down.
- Enter the necessary information for the email. See Sending Emails for detailed information on each available field and tab.
- Click Send. The account/contact campaign detail status updates to the value selected in step 7.
Update the Campaign Detail Status for Multiple Accounts/Contacts
To update the campaign detail status for multiple accounts/contacts at one time:
- Navigate to Campaigns for the appropriate feature and select the campaign you want to work on.
- Select the campaign for the campaign detail status update.
- Right-click and select View > Results. The Campaign Results page opens. You may need to click Search for the results to appear.
- Select the accounts/contacts which need the campaign detail status updated.
- Right-click and select Tools > Campaigns > Change Detail Status on Campaign. The Change Detail Status on a Campaign window opens.
- Select the campaign to update from the Campaign drop-down.
- Select the status to assign from the Change status to drop-down.
- Click OK.
Remove an Account/Contact from a Campaign
- Navigate to Campaigns for the appropriate feature and select the campaign you want to work on.
- Select the campaign with the account/contact to remove.
- Right-click and select View > Results. The Campaign Results screen opens. You may need to click Search for the results to appear.
- Select the accounts/contacts to remove. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple accounts/contacts.
- Right-click and select Tools > Campaigns > Remove From Campaign. The Remove from Campaign window opens.
- Click OK.
The removed accounts/contacts show in the Removed Accounts tab so you can easily add any accounts back to the campaign if needed. If you run the retrieve process again for the campaign, accounts/contacts in the Removed Accounts tab do not get added back to the campaign. To re-add an account/contact back to a campaign, delete it from the Removed Accounts tab and re-run the campaign.
