A check box is available on the Application Settings tab of the Momentus Web Configuration Utility to restrict memory growth in the v20 application. If the 'Restrict Memory Usage' check box is checked, the following behaviors occur to restrict the memory growth of the Silverlight application:
- When a screen is closed, it is no longer kept in memory for reuse.
- When a screen is closed, the information in the application cache is not retained for next time use.
- If all screens are closed, additional information in the application cache is removed.
- When the Refresh menu option is clicked on a screen, the screen is reloaded so that the elements and data items are destroyed and completely rebuilt.
In addition, there is also a URL parameter for testing remotely from servers that overrides the setting in the Momentus Web Configuration Utility. Append RestrictClientMemory=Y to the end of the database URL for remote testing.

Hello and thank you for this article.
Can you give some more info please?
We have a lot of users that have sessions over 700-800MB RAM (sessions start at 100MB but rise very quickly the longer they use UB) and this is causing Ungerboeck to go very slow...
Running 20.80 Btw,
Thanks!

Hi Tom,
Can you please confirm where you get these numbers from? Is it simply the Task Manager on the local PC?

Hi Sean,
These numbers are taken from our users V20 session on the Citrix server (everyone is connecting through Citrix to connect to V20 webserver) - users are working on Thin Clients.
