For Momentus Enterprise clients who manage their database on-premise, internal users access the v20 site with just the server name. However, when using v20 registration, a URL will need to be configured that can be sent externally. To do this, two v20 sites will need to be configured.
The external v20 site will need to be placed in your DMZ. It is recommended that a security certificate is used for the external site. The internal and external web servers will need to be able to communicate with each other through the firewall on whatever ports are bound to the sites.
Once the external site has been added to your DNS and is accessible from outside of the network, the internal v20 site needs to be configured to connect to the external site.
To do this, follow the below steps:
1. Navigate to the internal v20 program files (default installation location is c:/inetpub/ungerboeck).
2. Select the UngerboeckWebConfiguration.exe file, right-click and select Run as Administrator.
3. On the Momentus Web Configuration Utility screen, select the Application Settings tab.
4. On the Application Settings tab, in the Web Sites section, enter the public website URL, complete with protocol, in the Public Web Site field.
5. Click OK.
