You can delete service order items on active orders. Deleted items cannot be restored. To remove order items but keep the record, you should Cancel Service Order Items.
To delete a service order item:
- Click the Events button from the Global Navigation Bar. The Events screen opens.
- Select the event with the service order item to delete.
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Event screen opens.
- Select the Service Order Items tab.
- Select the service order item(s) to delete. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple items.
- Right-click and select Mark for Delete.
- Click the Save (disk) button.
Delete Service Order Item Security
Deleting service order items is controlled by the following security:
- Allow Access to Delete Item by Item Status - Users and/or roles assigned to the privilege are allowed to delete an item up to a status limit that is configured for the user and/or role. Any users not assigned to the privilege are not able to delete an order item. If no users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive and all users can delete order items.
- Allow Access to Edit Item by Item Status - Users and/or roles assigned to the privilege are allowed to edit an item up to a status limit that is configured for the user and/or role. Editing includes deleting items. To allow users to edit items but not delete them, you must use this access privilege in conjunction with the Allow Access to Delete Item by Item Status access privilege. Any users not assigned to Allow Access to Edit Item by Item Status are not able to edit an order item, which includes deleting the item. If no users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive and all users can edit order items.
- Allow Access to Edit/Add/Delete Items by Department - Users and/or roles assigned to the privilege are allowed to delete an item based on the item department(s) configured for the user and/or role. Any users not assigned to the privilege are not able to delete an order item. If no users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive and all users can delete order items regardless of the item department.
- Allow Edit/Delete of Items with Item Sequencing - Users and/or roles assigned to the privilege are allowed to delete items with item sequence numbers. Any users not assigned to the privilege are not able to delete an order item assigned to an item sequence number. If no users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive and no users can delete order items with item sequence numbers.

Hi Maggie,
In version 20.95 C. If delete all Service Order Items under Service Orders, it means that Service Orders also delete from Event. Is it correct process for this actions?
Thanks,

Hi,
If you delete all the service order items on a service order and there are no more items, actual items or payments on the order, you receive a prompt asking if you want to delete the order. If there is a payment or actual items, then the order items are deleted but the service order remains.
I tested this in v20.95 D and checked out a few different workflows and didn't come across an order being deleted without receiving the prompt first. I'd recommend applying the latest service release (D) and running through your process to see if you receive the prompt. If you don't, post your steps here and I can check to see what happens in my test database.
Let me know how it goes!
Thanks,
Maggie
