Momentus Enterprise allows you to add transportation information to the registration process so you can collect that information from your registrants as they register. This is done via Transportation Modes. Transportation Modes are used to describe the mode of transportation that will be available for your event, such as Air, Bus, Train, Car, and so on.
To collect transportation information you must first:
Configure Transportation Modes
To configure Transportation Modes:
- In the Main Menu, search for and select Transportation Mode. The Transportation Mode page opens.
- Click Add. The Add Transportation Mode window opens.
- Add a Description.
- Select a Transportation Type: Air, Bus, Car, Other, Train.
- Add a Sort Sequence to specify the order that the transportation modes should be listed in.
- Only check Retire if the mode should not be available in Registration.
- Click OK to save the mode and close the window.
Repeat these steps until all Transportation Modes your registrants could use are configured.
Add a Transportation Component to a Registration Form
Once Transportation Modes are configured, add a transportation component to the Registration Form Template.
To add a transportation component to the form template:
- Navigate to registration form you want to add the transportation component to:
- To update the template, search for and select Form Templates in the Main Menu. Select the form, right click, and select Configure Form.
- To update the form on an event, navigate to the event. In the menu at the top of the event, click Tools > Registration Setup. On the Registration Form Setup tab, find the Form Template and click Edit Form Template.
- Navigate to the page where you would like the transportation component to display or click Add New Page.
- In the Components list, find the Transportation component and drag it to the form. The Add Transportation Form Section window will open.
- Heading – Add a heading for the component. Headings display with a larger font and a separator between heading and instructions, making your form easier to read.
- Caption – Add a caption. The caption displays under the heading and above other section content. Use this for instructions or information for registrants.
- Transportation Mode Type – Choose whether this transportation component will be used to track arrival or departure information.
- Based on your selection in this field, the following Transportation Mode and Transportation Mode display fields will update to be Arrival or Departure.
- Transportation Mode(s) - Arrival/Departure – Click the [x] Selected link to select the Transportation Modes available for arrival/departure. You are also able to select additional fields related to the modes, such as Airport and Flight Number for an Air mode.
- Transportation Mode(s) - Arrival/Departure Display – Select how you would like the Transportation Mode to display:
- Hide: The Transportation Mode field will not display in public-facing registration. We recommend this if only one Transportation Mode is available on the form.
- Show: The Transportation Mode field will display in public-facing registration.
- Required: The Transportation Mode field will display in public-facing registration and be required.
- Travel Fields – Click the [x] Selected link to select any additional travel fields you would like to display. Be sure to select arrival or departure fields, based on the Transportation Mode Type (step 6) of this component!
- Click OK to save the travel component.
- If you added an arrival component and would also like a departure component, repeat the steps 3 through 10, selecting Departure as the Transportation Mode Type in step 6.
- Click OK to save the changes to your Form Template.
