Job Categories allow you to track and report on different elements within your task management system within WeTrack. Examples of Job Categories include:
- Maintenance
- Fire Safety Checks
- Cleaning
- Venue Management
- Venue Opening Checks

Create a Job Category
To create a job category:
- At the bottom left, click on you user avatar and select Settings.
- In the Settings list, click Control and select Jobs.
- On the top right, click + Add Job category.
- Add a title.
- Select a Job type from the drop down.
- Click Save.
Add and Edit Job Category Details
Once you have created the job category, click the toggle icon on the far right to expand the job category and add or edit the details:
- Type: This is the grouping of checks for your categories, such as Pre-Event Checks, Reports, Maintenance.
- Description: The default description for jobs in this category.
- Scheduling: When you would like jobs in this category to be created. For more about scheduling jobs, see Jobs Scheduling.
- Owners: Which users are responsible for this job. Multiple team members can be responsible for a job. These users will be sent an email when the job is created.
- User Groups: If you have team members who are usual on shift, such as Security, create a user groups to assign that group to the job. These users will be sent an email when the job is created.
- Functional Area: Which functional areas are responsible for the job.
- Start Time: When the job should begin. Note: This is when the job will be created within the system. This is also the time when the owners and those within any assigned user groups will be sent an email notifying them of the job.
- Venue: The venue or zone where jobs in this category are to be completed.
- Tags: Assign tags to be used in reporting.
- Subscribers: Select users to receive updates about jobs in this category.
- Associated Risk Action: Add any risk actions which should be associated with jobs in this category.
- Checklists: View checklists associated with jobs in this category and how many checks are in them. You can also add additional checklists to this job from this view.
Delete a Job Category
If a Job Category is no longer needed, it can be deleted. This cannot be undone! Make sure to only delete jobs if necessary, for example if that category isn't applicable to your organisation anymore.
To delete a Job Category:
- Click the toggle icon on the far right of the Job Category.
- Click Delete Category.
- A modal will appear asking you to confirm that you want to delete the job category. Enter the confirmation code in the modal and click Confirm.
