Within the software, you can automatically update the start and end times of a booking by assigning a usage to the a booking. Using the usage to default the start and end times of a booking allows you to quickly book spaces for common uses such as breaks, morning events, afternoon events, receptions, and dinners and have the software default the times for these common uses.
To setup usages to default the start dates and times, you need to set up the usage in the Usages screen and then you can select the newly created usage when booking a space to default in the configured times.
Configure the Booking Usage
- Click the Usages link from the Main Menu. The Usages screen opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Usage screen opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Description – Name of the usage.
- Code – Unique alphanumeric value.
- Select the Bookings tab.
- Check the Use For Bookings check box.
- Check the Allow Default Times check box.
- Enter the default booking start time into the Default Booking Start Time field.
- Enter the default booking end time into the Default Booking End Time field.
- Click OK.

Assign a Usage to a Booking
After you create the usage with the default times, you can select the usage for a booking to default in the times.
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events screen opens.
- Select the event for the new booking(s).
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Event screen opens.
- Select the Bookings tab.
- If no bookings exist, click the Insert Row hyperlink. If there are existing bookings, right-click and select Insert Row.
- Select the space for the booking from the Space drop-down.
- Select the usage created in Configure the Booking Usage from the Usage drop-down. The default times configured for the usage display in the Start Time and End Time for the booking. You may need to show the Usage column to select the usage for the booking.
- Click OK.

Is there any API to pull out all the Usages. Because in the Bookings tables there is only Usage code is showing not the full detail of the Usages

Hi Avani. There currently is no API for Usages in the system.
