A service order can be deleted if it is at an active status, does not have any payments and does not contain any actuals. Deleted orders cannot be restored. To remove an order, but retain the record of the order you must instead Cancel a Service Order
To delete a service order, follow the below steps:
1. From the Global Navigation Bar, click the Events button.
2. On the Events screen, select the event with the service order(s) to be deleted.
3. Select the Service Orders tab.
4. On the Service Orders tab, select the service order(s) to be deleted. Ctrl + Click or Shift + Click can be used to select multiple service orders.
5. Right-click and select Mark for Delete.
6. Click Save.
Notes:
- If the service order has actuals, then the actuals must be removed from the order before the order can be deleted.

Something I noticed today that may help someone else, if you change all your actual item units to '0'. You still have to delete each item in the actual tab before you can delete the order. Just having 0 units and 0 actual net due isn't enough to allow the service order to be deleted.
