If you have more than one organization and you have a different theme for each organization, how do you set the user settings to change when you open the second organization?

  • Carrie Spalding

    Sherri,

Because these are system-wide settings, the only way to do this is to manually go back in to the User Settings and change the theme when logging into the second organization.

    Thanks,

    Carrie

There are 2 checkboxes for which I am unsure of their purpose

    1. Hold
    2. Locked

Can you explain what these are for?  Many thanks

Please also clarify behaviour of email.

If a user has an activity and the 'email' box is check, will they will get both an email and an activity notification in the system?

If the 'email' box is NOT checked and they have an activity, will they get an email if they are not logged into the system?

    Hi Theresa,

The Locked checkbox shows if the user account has been locked. If you check this box, you have locked the user account and they cannot log into the system.

The Hold checkbox is for informational purposes only and doesn't have any effect elsewhere in the system. Sometimes people use it when creating new user accounts to denote that it's not ready to be used but it does not prevent login.

I'm going to have my CRM experts get back to you on the activity notification questions so stay tuned!

    Thanks,
    Maggie

    Hi Theresa,

If a user has an activity and the 'Email Recipient Now' box is checked, they will receive an email and an activity notification in the system.  If the 'Email Recipient Now' box is not checked they will not receive an email but will still receive an activity notification.  I hope this helps.

Ryan, not sure if you understood my query - the behaviour you explain is what I expect if I am sending an activity.

My query is regarding the settings within the 'user'

I don't want users to get emails AND activities all the time, however, if there is an activity and they are not logged into Ungerboeck, I want them to get an email.

As I understood, if you checked 'email' within the user setting, this would be the behaviour - an email would send only if not logged in?

    Hi Theresa,

Thank you for clarifying.  My apologies for not understanding your question before.

If you have both 'Email' and 'Ungerboeck' checked and the user is logged into the system then it will favor Ungerboeck notifications.  When the user is logged out of the system it will favor email.  If this is not the current behavior you are experiencing please submit a case so our Development team can review and fix the problem.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

I have a user in the US that has their date format set as the UK format (DD/MM/YY) how can I change this user date settings to US format (MM/DD/YY)?

  • Maggie U.

    Hi Steven,

Here's an article that walks through how to update the user's date format:

In V30, is there a way to specify which display is default?

  • John Padgett

    Hi Gavin,

Right now, v30 defaults to Classic display. I don't believe there's any way for an administrator to change this currently.

    Thanks,

    John
