The Ungerboeck Web Add-in is necessary to print, run reports and add/edit documents. It is also needed in the legacy v20 version to open v19 screens from v20 (on-premise customers only). The Ungerboeck Web Add-in is not Momentus Enterprise-version specific.
Every Enterprise user needs to have this add-in installed. To install or replace the Ungerboeck Web Add-In, you must have:
- Administrative access on the user's machine
- General knowledge of Microsoft Windows
- Your internet browser closed during the beginning of the process

Ungerboeck Chrome Extension
The Ungerboeck Chrome Extension is a thin communication layer needed by Chrome to interface with the Ungerboeck Web Add-in. It is used to perform optional operations that require Enterprise to work outside the browser security sandbox (for example, adding and editing documents). This is only required with Enterprise and does not apply to legacy versions such as v19 or v20.
The first time logging into Enterprise, you receive a prompt to install the Ungerboeck Chrome Extension.
- Click Yes on the Ungerboeck Chrome Extension message. The Chrome Web Store opens.
- Click the Add to Chrome button. The Add Ungerboeck Chrome Extension message opens.
- Click the Add extension button. A message appears in Chrome confirming the extension was added. Close the message.
- Refresh the page. If you do not refresh the page, you receive the message to install the Chrome extension even though it was installed.
You must install the Ungerboeck Chrome Extension on all devices using Enterprise and Chrome to use document editing and printing. If your organization restricts adding Chrome extensions, your IT Department can access the Chrome Web Store: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ungerboeck-chrome-extensi/iidhigpgcibnogiedkaaoadofibhfhbe

Troubleshoot an Ungerboeck Web Add-In or Ungerboeck Chrome Extension Problem
If you experience an issue with the Ungerboeck Web Add-In, Momentus recommends first replacing the Ungerboeck Web Add-In with the latest version. See Replace the Ungerboeck Web Add-In for detailed steps.
If the problem continues, verify the user's working directory. To do this:
- Log into Enterprise.
- Click the Users link from the Main Menu. The Users screen opens.
- Select the user experiencing the problem.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit User screen opens.
- Select the User Preferences & Defaults tab.
- Review the Working Directory field. If there are any characters in the field, delete them.
- Click OK.
- Refresh Enterprise and attempt the same process to see if the problem is resolved.
If the problem is still unresolved, verify C:\USLP900 exists on the local machine. To do this:
- Open File Explorer on the user's computer experiencing the problem.
- Navigate to the C:\ drive.
- Verify there is a folder named USLP900. If not:
- Right-click and select New -> Folder.
- Rename the folder USLP900.
- Right click on the USLP900 folder -> Properties.
- Navigate to the Security tab.
- Click on Users -> verify that the Users group has Read, Write, and Modify permissions.
If the problem persists, you should create a log file for review. Momentus recommends you enable diagnostics for both the Ungerboeck Web Add-In and Ungerboeck Chrome Extension for the most accurate logging.
- Open File Explorer on the user's computer experiencing the problem.
- Navigate to C:\Program Files\Ungerboeck\Ungerboeck Web Addin. If using a 64-bit computer, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Ungerboeck\Ungerboeck Web Addin.

- Reopen the browser. A log file is created the next time you use the Ungerboeck Web Add-In. Let the process run until you receive a message.
- Click the Save button on the Diagnostics screen to create the log file.
- Select the location for the log file and send to your regional Client Care Team for review.
Web Add-In Technical Information
The below describes how the Ungerboeck Chrome Extension interacts with Chrome and the .NET code inside the Ungerboeck Web Add-in. The Ungerboeck Chrome Extension takes advantage of the "Native Messaging" feature in Chrome Extensions.
- A Native Messaging Host (aka UngerboeckChromeHost) is registered upon installation of the Ungerboeck Web Add-in runtime as a Chrome Native Messaging Host that can talk to the Ungerboeck Chrome Extension.
- The Ungerboeck Chrome Extension is distributed from the Chrome Web Store via a link provided to end users.
- The HTML site initiates a session with the Ungerboeck Chrome Extension via the Chrome "External Messaging" API.
- When the Ungerboeck Chrome Extension is initialized, it creates a session with the UngerboeckChromeHost -- starting an instance of the .NET executable.
- The Ungerboeck Chrome Extension uses content scripts/HTML to provide some user messaging on top of the HTML site.
- Everything is handled through message passing.
- When the tab is closed, the sessions are automatically closed and the host .NET application is closed.

Hi there
Can you let me know if the msi stored is updated with the latest version? I just clicked on the link and downloaded the file UngerboeckWeb_20_8_160614.msi, but the version on my UB where I've just updated is being reported as 20.8.46!
How do I know if the msi relates to the correct version?

Hi Jerry,
The name of the file contains the date that the new web add-in was created (in this case, it's June 14, 2016). The name of the file and the version will usually not correspond. If you download the file through Ungerboeck, you will always receive the latest released version.
Please let us know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

In v20, when trying to run a report from a v19 feature, for example "Current Receivables Aging (v19)", the v19 screen displayed no problem, but it couldn't generate the report and returned an error. (attached)
This issue does not happen to our stations that still have EBMS Runtime and SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework (32 bit) installed.
Do we actually need EBMS Runtime and SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for .NET Framework (32 bit) installed in order to have "Current Receivables Aging (v19)" to run its report properly?

Hello! You DO need the appropriate version of EBMS Runtime installed on the client machine in order to run reports through v19. You do NOT need SAP Crystal Reports installed on all client machines to run reports.
Thanks and hopefully that clears things up.

Hi Helen - if you're having problems with installing the web add-in, we recommend creating a ticket with your regional Client Care team. The representative can then troubleshoot the issue with you. Thanks!

Hello,
Is this still correct for 30.99?
Thanks,
Michelle

Hi Michelle! Web add-in 20.8.83 and Chrome Extension 1.0.18 are required for 30.99. The web add-in is not version specific, so you're probably already on it. Thanks!

Hi Sara,
we are currently using the Web Add-In 20.08.220420. I just tried to download the latest version through the link above but this also seems to be Version 20.08.220420.
Is the Version 20.8.83 available anywhere else or is our Version the current one?
Is 20.08.220420 compatible with 30.99B ?
Thanks

Hi Elisabeth - the naming convention can be a little confusing. 20.08.220420 is the same as 20.8.83. If you go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, it will show the version as 20.8.83.
Anyway, in short, it sounds like your users are current. This version is compatible with .99B. Thanks for reaching out!

Hi,
I have a quick question, will there be a new Web Add-In suppoting the new Outlook for Windows? Since the functionallity of Drag and Drop E-Mails from Outlook into Momentus (or somewhere else) is disabled by Microsoft, maybe a new Web Add-in might bring back the functionality?
Thank you.

Mirko Harrison-Gall, what do you mean drag and drop is disabled by Microsoft? The drag and drop currently does the msg file. We have a back log item to make the drag and drop in to a Momentus email by reading the msg file but it does still do the msg file as a document file. There is a known issue with Outlook that it may not do the 'Drop' correctly when dragging directly from Outlook so you may have to drop it on your desktop first but that is the only issue that I am aware of.

Hi Dustin,
We are currently testing the Outlook Desktop App (The New Outlook) and it is not possible to Drag & Drop E-mails from Outlook to the desktop or Windows folders or even Momentus. We found out that Microsoft does not support this feature anymore. Many Users are discussing in Microsoft Communities.
That's why I wonder if there is a new Web Add-in on the roadmap from the Momentus Dev's.
Best regards,
Mirko

This would be the Outlook Add-in then. If Outlook has stopped supporting drag and drop, there would be nothing we could do outside of the Outlook Add-In.
