Track and analyze cancelled contracts using Cancelled and Lost Statuses.
- Use Cancelled statuses to categorize events where contracts are cancelled due to lost events or contract changes that require issuing a new contract.
- Use Lost statuses when events or contracts are cancelled because the customer is taking the business elsewhere and your organization wants to track that information.
Cancelling contracts uses a combination of Contract Status and Contract Cancellation Reasons. When you configure those values, your organization can determine what combinations are available on the Cancel Contract screen.
- Configure Cancelled Contract Statuses are either Cancelled or Lost.
- Use Contract Cancellation Reasons to define Cancelled Contracts, Lost Contracts or both.
You must create Cancelled and Lost statuses with a code value at 80 or above so they are available for selection in the Cancel Contract screen. For details about adding a new contract status, see Contract Statuses.
You may then filter Contracts based on select Cancelled/Lost Statuses and create/save Views so you can analyze the various reasons for Lost Contracts and/or Cancelled Contracts. If you have a Reporting license you may want to create Chart/Pivot Reports to provide further comparative analytics on Lost/Cancelled business.
