You use the Event Sales Configuration window to configure system behavior for the Event Sales area of the system. Typically, this information is configured one time and rarely changed. It is important to understand the implications of changing any system configuration as changes can have substantial impact to how the system behaves in certain scenarios. If you need further clarification on how changing a particular setting may impact your system, contact your regional Client Care Team.
Click the Event Sales Configuration link from the Main Menu to access the configuration window. The window has three tabs: General, Event Opportunities, and Access Privileges. The Event Opportunities tab is detailed below.
Add Event Opportunity Section
- Default Sensitivity - Default sensitivity for new event opportunities.
- Event Opportunity User Defined Fields Issue Type - UDF set to use for all event opportunities. See Configure Custom Fields/User Defined Fields (UDFs) for more information.
Event Opportunity Inquiry
- Show Cancelled/Archived Event Opportunities - If checked, cancelled and/or archived event opportunities display on the Event Opportunities page.
Automatic Bulletin Activity Creation
- Activity Type - Default activity type for the automatic activity created when adding a bulletin to an event opportunity.
Flow Pattern
- Use Simple Event Opportunity Flow Update Process - If checked, the user is prompted with the simple event opportunity flow update process.
- Disable Event Opportunity Flow - If checked, users cannot edit or add event opportunity-level room flow.
- Columns 1 – 4 - Determines if the text columns on the Flow Pattern – Rooms and the Property Flow Pattern & Rates screens are used and what the column headings are. For each column you want to display, check the check box and enter the column name into the text field. If the check box for a column is not checked, then that column does not display.
Room Rates
- Columns 1 – 2 - Determines if the text columns on the Rates section of the Property Flow Pattern & Rates screen are used and what the column headings are. For each column you want to display, check the check box and enter the column name into the text field. If the check box for a column is not checked, then that column does not display.
