Registration Form Templates contain settings to determine the look and feel of the public-facing registration page, including:
- Text on the logon screen
- Sign-In configuration
- Duplicate order settings
- Order editing settings
- Cancel order settings
- Show past and current order history
- Registrant substitution
- Registrant cancellations
To configure the Sign-In Group for a registration form template:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events page opens.
- Select the event for the registration setup.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Registration Setup. The Registration Setup window opens.
- Select the Registration Form Setup tab.
- Open the Appearance section and click Edit Form Template. The Form Template window opens with the Sign-In Group selected.
- Click Edit Component within the Sign-In Group. The Edit Sign In Form Section window opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Heading - Text that displays as a header on the sign in page. For example, Have you registered with us before?
- Caption - Text that displays below the header on the sign in page. For example, Enter your email address and let us know if you are a new guest or returning friend.
- Sign-In Configuration - Select the sign-in configuration to use for the event.
- Make the necessary selections in the Duplicate Orders section:
- Allow contact to create multiple orders - If checked, a contact can create more than one registration order for the event.
- Allow an account to create multiple orders - If checked, an account can create more than one registration order for the event.
- Make the necessary selections in the Allow Editing of Orders section:
- Allow Editing of Orders - If checked, registrants can edit all aspects of their registration orders online.
- Restrict Editing To - Select the information available for editing:
- Account/Contact Information - The account/contact demographic fields, account/contact custom fields and account/contact documents are available for editing.
- Account/Contact and Registration Information - The account/contact information, registrant profile fields, registrant custom fields and products and services are available for editing.
- If this is left blank, online users can edit all of the above and change their registrant type.
- Only Allow Editing Registrant When Approval Level - Only registrants at the selected approval level(s) are available for editing.
- Order Editing Start Date and Time - Orders are available for editing beginning at the entered date and time.
- Order Editing End Date and Time - Orders are no longer available for editing after the entered date and time.
- Edit Order Email Template - Select the email template to send to registrants after the order changes are submitted.
- NOTE: At this time, Registration Orders added through backoffice using Add Registration Order cannot be edited online. Why? The Configuration Type on the order is referenced when opening the order for online editing. This is null for all backoffice orders and cannot be changed. Orders placed online have this added by the application and therefore can be edited online. Backoffice users should utilize the Add Web Registration workflow when placing registration orders that will need to be editable by an online user.
- Make the necessary selections in the Cancelling Orders section:
- Allow Cancelling of Orders online - If checked, registrants can cancel their orders online.
- Only Allow Cancelling Online When Approval Level - Only orders at the selected approval level(s) are available for cancelling.
- Cancel Order Email Template - Select the email template to send to registrants after the cancelled order is submitted.
- Order Cancelling Start Date and Time - Orders are available for cancelling beginning at the entered date and time.
- Order Cancelling End Date and Time - Orders are no longer available for cancelling after the entered date and time.
- Make the necessary selections in the Show Orders section:
- Show Orders - If checked, the registrant's orders are available for review.
- Show Order History - If checked, the registrant's past orders are available for review.
- Make the necessary selections in the Substituting Registrants section:
- Allow Registrant Substitution - If checked, registrants can substitute online.
- Only Allow Substitute When Approval Level - Only registrants at the selected approval level(s) are available for substitution.
- Substitute Email Template - Select the email template to send to registrants after the order changes are submitted.
- Make the necessary selections in the Cancelling Registrants section:
- Allow Cancelling Registrants - If checked, registrant cancellations are available online.
- Enable Cancellation Reasons - If checked, the registrant can select a reason for the cancellation.
- Only Allow Cancelling Registrant if Approval Level - Only registrants at the selected approval level(s) are available for cancellation.
- Cancel Registrant Email Template - Select the email template to send to registrants after the order changes are submitted.
- Click OK.
