Creating 1D Barcodes for Crystal Reports

To create 1D barcodes for Crystal Reports, follow the below steps:

  1. Create a new formula in the Crystal Report.
  2. In the main formula area, enter: ‘*’ & ToText("123456789") & ‘*’ replacing "123456789" with your own text or field.
  3. Click Save and Close.
  4. Add the new formula to the Crystal Report.
  5. Change the font to 'Free 3 of 9 Extended'.
  6. Adjust the font-size to make the barcode larger.  A good value to start with is '32'.
  7. Preview the report (F5), and verify the field/formula is large enough to display the full barcode.

    Hi

    I have followed the steps above and the barcode doesn't seem to generate.

    My formula is

    '*' & ToText({?Order},"00000")

    However its just the order number that is displaying not a bar code, the font is also as mentioned above.

    Hi Kris,

    I ran this by one of our Solutions experts that works in Crystal and they suggested opening a ticket with Client Care. They said it sounded like the font was not installed correctly.
