Membership was rewritten in v30.97 to use a new process. For continuity purposes, the previous Membership functionality remains available but is referred to as Legacy Membership. In v30.97 and later, membership functionality is referred to as Membership.
You use legacy membership categories to classify your members.
Add a Legacy Membership Category
- Click the Legacy Membership Categories link from the Main Menu. The Legacy Membership Categories page opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Legacy Membership Categories window opens.
- Enter the name of the membership category into the Description field.
- Enter a unique alphanumeric value into the Code field.
- Click OK.
Change a Legacy Membership Category
You can change the description of a legacy membership category after you have created it. When you change the description of a legacy membership category, it updates wherever the legacy membership category is used. If you don't want to update the already existing legacy membership category data, then you must add a new legacy membership category using the steps in Add a Legacy Membership Category.
- Click the Legacy Membership Categories link from the Main Menu. The Legacy Membership Categories page opens.
- Select the legacy membership category to edit.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Legacy Membership Categories window opens.
- Update the description.
- Click OK.
Inactivate a Legacy Membership Category
If you no longer use a legacy membership category but want to keep record of it for reporting or other purposes, you can make it inactive. When you make a legacy membership category inactive, it is no longer available for selection in the Legacy Membership Category drop-down.
- Click the Legacy Membership Categories link from the Main Menu. The Legacy Membership Categories page opens.
- Select the legacy membership category to make inactive.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Legacy Membership Categories window opens.
- Check the Retire box.
- Click OK.
Delete a Legacy Membership Category
If you no longer use a legacy membership category and don't want to keep a record of it, you can delete it. When you delete a legacy membership category that is used, you receive a prompt to select a legacy membership category to replace the legacy membership category you are deleting. You cannot undo the delete or delete and replace process.
- Click the Legacy Membership Categories link from the Main Menu. The Legacy Membership Categories page opens.
- Right-click on the legacy membership category to delete.
- Select Mark for Delete.
- Click the Save button. If the legacy membership category is used, the Replace window opens.
- Select the legacy membership category from the drop-down to replace the deleted legacy membership category.
- Click OK.
