Membership was rewritten in v30.97 to use a new process. For continuity purposes, the previous Membership functionality remains available but is referred to as Legacy Membership. In v30.97 and later, membership functionality is referred to as Membership.
The software uses legacy standing membership orders to create legacy membership orders. Those legacy membership orders are then used to record payments and represent the legacy membership history for the legacy member account or contact.
When a legacy standing membership order is processed into a legacy membership order, the legacy standing membership order is advanced to the next membership cycle so it is available for the next membership renewal.
You create a legacy membership order by processing a legacy standing membership order.
- Click the Prepare Legacy Membership Orders for Invoicing link from the Main Menu. The Prepare Legacy Membership Orders for Invoicing page opens.
- Select the legacy standing membership order(s) to process into membership order(s). Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple orders.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Prepare Orders. A confirmation message displays confirming you want to prepare the selected order(s) for invoicing.
- Click Continue. A legacy membership order is created for each selected legacy standing membership order. You can view the order on the Membership Orders tab for each member account or contact.
Copy a Legacy Membership Order
- Select the Members - All link from the Main Menu. The Members | All page opens.
- Select the member with the order(s) to copy.
- Right-click and select edit. The Edit Account or Edit Contact window opens.
- Select the Legacy Membership Orders tab.
- Select the legacy membership order(s) to copy. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple orders.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Copy. The Copy Order(s) window opens.
- Select the order status for the new order from the Order Status drop-down.
- Check the Order Items check box to copy all the order items to the new order.
- Check the Documents check box to copy all the document to the new order.
- Click OK.
