Membership was rewritten in v30.97 to use a new process. For continuity purposes, the previous Membership functionality remains available but is referred to as Legacy Membership. In v30.97 and later, membership functionality is referred to as Membership.
You use membership cycles to determine the period length for your memberships and to determine when billing takes place.
Add a Legacy Membership Cycle
- Click the Legacy Membership Cycles link from the Main Menu. The Legacy Membership Cycles page opens.
- Click the Add button. The Add Legacy Membership Cycle window opens.
- Enter the following information:
- Description - Name for the legacy membership cycle.
- Code - Unique alphanumeric value.
- Cycle Months - Number of months in the membership cycle.
- Billing Status - If checked, the cycle is available as a billing cycle.
- Cycle Status - If checked, cycle is available as a period cycle.
- Click OK.
Change a Legacy Membership Cycle
You can change the information for a legacy membership cycle after you have created it. When you change the information for a legacy membership cycle, it updates wherever the legacy membership cycle is used. If you don't want to update the already existing legacy membership cycle data, then you must add a new legacy membership cycle using the steps in Add a Legacy Membership Cycle.
- Click the Legacy Membership Cycles link from the Main Menu. The Legacy Membership Cycles page opens.
- Select the legacy membership cycle to edit.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Legacy Membership Cycle window opens.
- Update the information.
- Click OK.
Delete a Legacy Membership Cycle
If you no longer use a legacy membership cycle and don't want to keep a record of it, you can delete it. You cannot delete legacy membership cycles that are used. You cannot undo the delete process.
- Click the Legacy Membership Cycles link from the Main Menu. The Legacy Membership Cycles page opens.
- Right-click on the legacy membership cycle to delete.
- Select Mark for Delete.
- Click the Save button.
