For time sensitive work orders that you need to complete quickly, you can use the Rush option. For example, when there is a last minute change to an order, you can rush the work orders so the Service Work Order report prints out automatically to the assigned department printer or to the default printer for the computer you are using. The Rush feature helps ensure that last minute item adds are accounted for which results in less risk for lost revenue on those items. When you rush a work order, the Rushed column on the Work Orders screen is set to Yes.
To rush a work order:
- Click the Work Orders link from the Main Menu. The Work Orders page opens.
- Select the work order to rush.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Rush. You receive a confirmation that the report is sent to the printer.
- Click OK.

As the change in the Report Scheduling Task has identified, printing is a little 'yesterday'. Can we have an option to 'rush' work orders via e-mail instead of printer?
Additionally, a lot of printers these days support secure print where there is a shared print queue across many devices.

Hi Sean,
I put an enhancement in to email the reports to the email address defined in the Email field on the Departments screen when using the Rush feature.
Thanks,
Maggie

Hi Mudit,
This hasn't been updated and it's not on the plan in the near future. I did talk to the Product Manager though to make sure to keep it in mind if the opportunity arises.
Thanks,
Maggie

that's a shame that it has fallen off the radar and not seen as useful for us. There used to be an ability to display an * against an item that had been changed since last print. From memory it would display the * against the item on the screen, as well as in the report. i can't seem to see that working any longer?? Is that correct.
