You can assign multiple prices lists for an event so only those price lists are available for orders you add to the event. This allows you to restrict other users from selecting price lists that are invalid or price lists they should not have access to.
In addition, you can configure a different default price list when adding orders rather than the price list used when creating the booking for the event. You can also use multiple price lists with Price Classes to default a price list for a particular account.
You can also use multiple price lists in registration. If you are using multiple registration configurations for an event (for example, one for public, one for VIP’s and one for staff), you can assign each registration configuration to a different price list so each configuration can have different registration rates.
To configure multiple price lists for an event:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events page opens.
- Select the event for multiple price lists.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Event window opens.
- Select the Details tab.
- Expand the Configuration section.
- Click the Add link next to the Price Lists label. The Price Lists page opens.
- Click the Manage button. The Manage Event Price Lists window opens.
- Select the price list(s) to assign to the event in the Available section of the window. Use Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to select multiple price lists.
- Click the single right arrow button to move the selected price list(s) to the Selected section of the window.
- Click OK.
To configure a price list as a default price list:
- Click the Price Lists link from the Main Menu. The Price Lists page opens.
- Select the price list to set as the default price list.
- Right-click and select Set as Default.
- Click the Close button.
The Allow Access to Price Lists in Events/Order Entry access privilege does not restrict the price lists available for selection when assigning multiple price lists to an event. Users can select any price list when adding multiple price lists to an event. The access privilege restricts which price list users can select in the event's price list drop-down (the default price list used for service orders) or the order price list drop-down.
