Your exhibitors can have the option to select the language they want to use when using the Exhibitor Portal so the web pages show in their preferred language. To use multiple languages, you must have the languages you want to offer already configured in the Languages screen and have the software configured to use alternate descriptions.
You can send a link to the Exhibitor Portal to an exhibitor with a language default. When you copy the Exhibitor Portal URL, add &LangCode=xxx to the end of it. Replace xxx with the code of the language you want to use. When the exhibitor clicks on the link, the Exhibitor Portal loads the web page in the language in the URL.
Configure Multiple Languages for the Exhibitor Portal

- Select the event for the multi-language Event Portal.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Exhibitors -> Exhibitor Portal Setup . The Exhibitor Portal Setup window opens.
- Select the Languages tab.
- Click the Add button. The Add Public Language window opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Language - Language for the Exhibitor Portal.
- Dictionary - Dictionary for the Exhibitor Portal.
- Description to Use - Alternate description to use for the Exhibitor Portal.
- Region - Regional settings to use for the Exhibitor Portal.
- Web Skin - Web skin to use for the language.
- Default Language - If checked, the language is used the first time an exhibitor accesses the Exhibitor Portal if the URL they used does not include the language parameter.
- Click OK.
Translate Exhibitor Portal Options to Different Languages
When you configure multiple languages for the Exhibitor Portal, you assign the description you want to use for the additional Exhibitor Portal options that are not in the system dictionary, such as the form task descriptions and order items. You manage these translations using alternate descriptions.
You can add alternate descriptions to your order items from the Resources screen. You need to enter the alternate description(s) for each resource you plan to use in the Exhibitor Portal.
You also need to add the alternate description(s) for your Exhibitor Portal tasks, task instructions and your form template headings sections.
