Promo codes can be configured for users of the iEBMS membership purchase and/or renewal pages. The promo codes allow for reduction or full discounting of the cost of the purchase of a membership or other items made available for purchase along with a membership. A single promo code may be applied per membership order.
PLEASE NOTE: Membership Promo Codes only apply to iEBMS users. Membership Promo Codes cannot be applied to membership orders via back-office.
Typical Uses:
- New Members: Membership Promo Codes are frequently used to offer free trial memberships, or to discount the cost of a membership as part of a member drive.
- Renewing Members: Membership Promo Codes may be created to waive member initiation (or setup) fees that are present in an MBD configuration.
- Additional Purchases: Membership Promo Codes may be created to reduce the cost of merchandise offered for sale within an MBD configuration (e.g., books, recordings, software, branded materials, etc.)
Configuration:

The description from this resource will display on the order/invoice.

The merchandise field only lets you apply the discount to one item i.e. one membership type. We would like to be able to use the same promo code for multiple membership types/codes but there doesn't seem to be a way of achieving this without setting up a number of different promo codes.

James - You are able to configure the promo code to apply to multiple membership types. However, you are limited to a single merchandise item, no ability to select multiple there. It may be worth adding this to the product idea forum to see if others have a similar need. Thanks.
