You can highlight booths based on criteria from the software. You can highlight booths based on availability, booth or exhibitor status or booth dimensions, products and services selected on the exhibitors, order items on exhibitor booth orders, and/or user defined fields (UDFs) on the exhibitor, order, or booth. These are called highlight schemes.
Ideas on how you can use highlight schemes:
- Create a UDF on booths for each utility available in that booth. Create a highlight scheme to show all booths with water or electric.
- Highlight all exhibitors selling a specific product and service to make sure your floor plan is balanced.
- Show all your prime locations (more expensive booths on the main aisle) based on a booth resource.
- Highlight all booths that have columns in them based on a booth user defined field (UDF).
To create a highlight scheme:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events page opens.
- Select the event for the floor plan.
- Right-click and select Floor Plan -> View Floor Plan. If there are multiple floor plans for the event, the Select Floor Plan window opens. If there is only one floor plan, the floor plan opens in a new browser tab.
- Select the floor plan you want to view from the Floor Plans drop-down.
- Click Continue. The floor plan opens in a new browser tab.
- Select the Home tab.
- Click the Add Highlight Scheme button. The Add Highlight Scheme window opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Filter Criteria - Click the Select link to open the Booth Filter Search screen. This is the criteria you can set for the highlight scheme. Booths matching the criteria you configure are highlighted.
- Highlight Color - Color for the highlighted booths.
- Save as a Highlight Scheme - If checked, it is saved as a scheme that you can use for highlighting on other floor plans and other events.
- Description - Name for the highlight scheme. Only available if Save as a Highlight Scheme is checked.
- Click OK.
- The floor plan updates and highlights the booths meeting the criteria in the selected color.
To turn off highlight schemes, toggle the Show Highlighting button on the Home tab of the floor plan.
To highlight booths from the floor plan without setting criteria, select the booth(s) and click the Quick Highlight button. Select the color for the booth(s) from the Highlight Color drop-down. Click the Apply Highlight button. The booths update to the selected highlight color. The Quick Highlight still shows even with Show Highlighting toggled off.
