Most of the time, your customers enter or update their Preference Settings online. How to configure your online Preference Center depends on which type of online application you use.
- To have your customers only update their Preference Settings and not connect it to any other online application, see the Configuring a Stand-Alone Account Management Center section in the Account Management Configurations article.
- If you use Exhibitor Service Center or the Exhibitor Portal, see the Configuring an Account Management Configuration section in the Account Management Configurations article.
- If you use Registration, Customer Opportunity Web Forms or Web Lead Forms, an Account Management Configuration is not necessary and you can proceed directly to Preference Types in Online Registration, Customer Opportunity Web Forms or Web Lead Forms.

When use the stand alone setting and checked the "preference mode" box, it says this will allow emailing a link to contact and allow them to update their details bypassing login. However, when I go to the contact window > tools > send ACM link, email window opens and then I copy and pasted the shortcut URL before sending the email off, but the recipient still needs to log in. Is there any steps that I missed?

Hi Aubrey,
We have completed this case in versions .93 & above.
Resolved issue with ACM link- wildcard not available for all accounts objects
For ACM Preference mode to work do the following:
1. Create an Email and Merge template for All Accounts subject. Use insert wildcard link to add Send ACM Link wildcard to the email (This wildcard should be available after metadata update has been run.)
2. Select accounts from the accounts window and select Send ACM link action.
3. Choose ACM Configuration
4. Choose the template with ACM link and send email.
Thank you,
Erin
