You use access privileges to control the information roles/users can add, edit, delete or view. You use access privileges in conjunction with access management. Proceed cautiously before making changes to any access privileges as any changes may have an impact on other users in your system.
You can change reporting access privileges from the Access Privileges screen on the Main Menu.
Below is a list of available reporting access privileges.
Allow Execution of Secure Reports
This access privilege controls who can run reports marked as securer. Roles/users only have access to reports not marked as secure or that are assigned to them. Roles/users are assigned security privileges in two parts - Assign Access Privileges and Assign Details. When a role/user is assigned to the privilege, Assign Details defaults to all reports. To limit access to selected reports, right-click on the assigned role/user and select Assign Details to access the Assign Details screen.
If no roles/users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive, and all roles/users can run any report regardless of whether the report is marked as secure. If a role/user is assigned (activating the privilege), all unassigned roles/users cannot run reports marked as secure.
See Limit Which Reports Users Can Run for details on configuring this security.
Override Allow Export Report Setting
This access privilege controls who can export from the Report Viewer. In the the Report Master screen, you can use the Allow Export field for each report to configure if you can export the report, create a PDF or have all export options available. If a role/user is assigned to the privilege, the software ignores the Report Master setting and the role/user has full exporting access for all reports.
If no roles/users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive, and all roles/users are subject to the level of exporting set for the report on the Report Master screen.
