When you create an Exhibitor Service Center configuration, you create it for all events. Sometimes though, you need to have specific navigation links, deadlines or order items for an event. When this happens, you can override those settings at the event level. This is only available with the Premium Edition of Exhibitor Service Center.
The steps below assume the ESC configuration is already assigned to the event. To override the Exhibitor Service Center configuration settings at the event level:
- Click the Events button from the Global Navigation Bar. The Events page open.
- Select the event for the overridden configuration settings.
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Event window opens. The ESC Navigations, ESC Deadlines and the ESC Order Items tab are available.
ESC Navigations Tab
You can create or edit navigation links to display pages containing information other than order items. If configured, the navigation tree displays on the left-side of the Exhibitor Service Center. The best practice recommendation is to use three levels or less within the navigation tree but there is no limit to the number of levels you can have.
To add a new navigation for the event:
- Select the ESC Navigations tab.
- Click the Add button. The Add Navigation Control window opens.
- Enter the necessary information:
- Description - Name for the navigation link. This name displays to the exhibitors logged into the Exhibitor Service Center.
- Type - Select the navigation link type:
- Application - Link to another public-facing application. If selected, an Application drop-down is available to select from Account Management, Frequently Asked Questions or Payment Portal.
- External Link - Link to an external site. If selected, an External Link field is available to enter the web address for the external link.
- Form - Link to a form template specific to this navigation link. If selected, a Form drop-down is available to select the form template to use. After selecting a form template, an Edit hyperlink becomes available so you can make changes to the form template.
- Page - Links to pre-configured order form page from the Exhibitor Service Center form template or an item category listing.
- Parent Link - If a selection is made, the navigation link is nested under the selected link. If no selection is made, the link is the main link.
- Available When Exhibitor Category - The navigation link is only available to exhibitors matching the selected exhibitor category(ies).
- Available When Exhibitor Type - The navigation link is only available to exhibitors matching the selected exhibitor type.
- Available When Exhibitor Status - The navigation link is only available to exhibitors matching the selected exhibitor status(es).
- Sort Sequence - Enter the order the links display in the Sort Sequence field (10 for first, 20 for second, etc.). The best practice is to skip numbers in the sequence so you can easily add more links in the future.
- Click OK.
