Packages which contain other packages are called Nested Packages. This can be helpful in situations such as a venue which provides a full wedding package including A/V, food & beverage, staff and more, or an exhibition booth setup package including flooring, seating, A/V, stage or rigging. Momentus recommends using no more than five levels of nested packages.
Example of a nested package:

To create a nested package:
- Create the package(s) to be included as a nested package using the Package Configuration article.
- Create the main package using the Package Configuration article. Select the nested packages in step 5 of the Configure the Package section in the linked article.
- Select Yes from the Show Nested Details field to view the package items of the nested package on the Edit Package window.

The Show Nested Details yes/No options defaults to "no" irrelevant if you saved the settings as yes when setting up the view. Is there any way to have this save as preference in custom views like other parameters do?

These defaults are set at the code level and do not save with the view. At this time there is no custom way to get this to default differently without changing it for everyone.

That's very annoying. 😢
