End users who are registering for your events can save a draft during online registration. The draft saves all the end user's order information so the user can navigate away from the registration site and come back and not lose his/her progress. You can also view the draft registration in the software.
If an end user has a draft order saved, the end user is presented with the draft order after logging into the registration site. The end user can then resume the registration process or discard the saved draft and create a new registration. If the end user does not have any saved draft registrations, the end user proceeds through registration as normal.
To have draft orders saved, you must enable the ability to save drafts online for your event:
- Click the Events button on the Global Navigation Bar. The Events page opens.
- Select the event you need to configure for online drafts.
- Right-click and select Tools -> Registration -> Registration Setup. The Registration Setup window opens.
- Check the Enable Analytics and Saving Drafts Online check box. You may need to add this to your screen layout.
- Click OK.
View Draft Sessions in the Software
You can view your end users' draft sessions in the software. To view draft sessions:
- Click the Events button on the Global Navigation Bar. The Events window opens.
- Select the event you need to view the draft registrations.
- Right-click and select Edit -> Edit. The Edit Event window opens.
- Select the Registration Session Analytics tab. If this tab is not available, you need to add it to your screen layout.
- Show the Save Draft Status column. See below for a definition of each draft status:
- Saved - The session is saved but not converted, abandoned, or discarded.
- Converted - The draft is submitted and an order created.
- Abandoned - A session was created but the session was never saved, converted, or discarded. End users are not able to resume an abandoned session.
- Discarded - The draft is deleted by the end user.

Great to see this. We implemented this using custom mechanisms a few years back and have definitely seen an increase in "conversion rate". And the additional ability to follow up on incomplete registrations is a no-brainer!
