During sales process, you may send a proposal to a customer with the event details and pricing. You can set this document as a Proposal document in Enterprise. You can only have one proposal document per event so you can always know which document was sent to the customer. The ability to set a document as a Proposal document is only available for events from the Documents tab or Documents screen.
To set a document as a Proposal document when adding a new document:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events screen opens.
- Select the event for the proposal.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Event screen opens.
- Select the Documents tab.
- Click the Add button. The Add Document screen opens.
- Enter the necessary document information.
- Check the Proposal check box.
- Click OK.
To set an existing document as a Proposal document:
- Click the Events link from the Main Menu. The Events screen opens.
- Select the event for the proposal.
- Right-click and select Edit. The Edit Event screen opens.
- Select the Documents tab.
- Select the document you want to make a Proposal document.
- Right-click and select View -> Properties. The Document Properties screen opens.
- Check the Proposal check box.
You can show the Proposal column on the Documents tab, and a Yes displays for the document set as the Proposal document.
